ICT4WATER agenda announced
The agenda for ICT4WATER Open Day has now been finalised ahead of the event due to take place on 22 September in Barcelona.
ICT4WATER is an EU initiative to promote ICT in water management and gathers 15 projects co-funded by the European Commission that aim to address challenges facing sustainable water management and how ICT technologies can help both water utility companies and household consumers.
The objective of the event is to share best experience, discover new developments and have the opportunity to meet EU officials and and external representatives working in water management.
Highlights of the gathering will include presentations by:
- Mr.Jordi Agustí Verges, General Manager at ACA (Catalan Water Agency – Government of Catalonia)
“Regional challenges and needs for new technologies in the water sector”; - Ms. Grazyna Wojcieszko, Policy/Project OfficerEuropean Commission, DG ConNECT Unit H5 – Smart Cities & Sustainability “ICT4Water roadmap, opportunities in H2020” and
- Presentations on FP7 and Horizon 2020 projects – including Ateknea’s UrbanWater project – presented by Mr. Albert Rodriguez, Head of Software Engineering at Ateknea Solutions Catalonia.
ICT4WATER event will take place at Cibernàrium Auditorium, Media-TIC building at C/ Roc Boronat 117, Barcelona, on Tuesday 22 September, from 9am to 2pm.
